My name is Lillian Candebat, and I am a junior at SSA. It’s my first year of Journalism, and I am so excited to be a member of the team at The Nest. My passions are writing and theater, and I do community theater at The New Octavians in Hammond. In my free time, I’m always working on at least one or two story ideas. For me, performing and writing are like an extension of myself; I always express my thoughts better when I’m writing them out, and theater allows me to connect to my emotions in a much deeper way. I owe my interest in journalism to my sister and biggest role model, Eliana Candebat, who is a senior at SSA and a Staff Editor for The Nest. She has inspired me to always pursue what I love and to be the best version of myself. I cannot wait to see what this year of journalism brings!
