Out with the old and in with the new! Spring is upon us, and a quick refresh always helps give the season a lively feel. Whether it be cleaning out your closet, scrubbing your bathroom or even just a small task like dusting, a refreshed environment can always motivate and brighten your mood.
Decluttering is an easy task to start with! Throw away or donate anything that you no longer use, need, or is broken. In the words of Marie Kondo, ask yourself, “Does this spark happiness?”. If the answer is no and it’s not a necessity, get rid of it! You can learn more about Marie Kondo and her cleaning tips at https://learn.konmari.com/

Vacuuming, sweeping and mopping is a simple, yet brightening, task that quickly renews a space. It adds a crisp feeling to your environment that immediately makes a space feel new. While you’re vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping, you might as well wash your bedding at the same time! Dusting can easily be overlooked. It only takes seconds to do and makes a huge difference.
A larger, more time-consuming part of spring cleaning that can benefit not only yourself, but others, is going through your clothes and cleaning out your closet. If it doesn’t fit, isn’t really your style anymore, or you haven’t recently worn it, DONATE IT!!! If it’s worn out and unwearable, either throw it away or repurpose it. Repurposing can include making old shirts into bags, cutting old clothes for scrap fabric, and cutting clothes into new styles! Check out the pictures below for some ideas!
Organization is something that can always make a space feel like new. This can be your vanity, bathroom, nightstand, dresser, whatever! You could even get some organizers and dividers for these spaces! You could rearrange the furniture in your room, sort your makeup in various ways, rearrange knickknacks and decor, sort the clothes in your dresses by color, etc.
