I have never been a student who can make an A on a test without any studying. On average, I spend five hours studying to make an A. Some students pick up information very quickly and can recite it without hesitation (which is very frustrating to me). I, on the other hand, cannot. So here is what I have learned works for me and many others throughout my 11 years of schooling.
Set the mood:
- Comfortable Clothing
- Candles
- Sit at a table
- Eat a snack
- Drink some tea/coffee
- Play some relaxing background music
Motivation:
The things you do today will affect your tomorrow. So take the extra time you have to study because before you know it you will be applying for college. Just do your homework when you receive it, study for every quiz and test, and give it all you’ve got. Do everything you can to be successful because at least you can say you tried. You are not always going to be the most successful or smartest person in the room and that’s okay. Give yourself a chance to show everyone how smart you can be and how talented you are. Give it your all now because what do you have to lose? Hard work never goes unnoticed. I have never regretted working hard at the things I struggle with. I heard this quote once: “Practice like you have never won and to perform like you have never lost.” If you have this mindset you will be successful in everything that you do.
