Galentine’s Day at St. Scholastica Academy is a great day for the girls here to bond and lift each other up. This event takes place on February 14 every year during lunch. There are fun games, sweet notes and candy. It is a really great way for the girls to spend time with each other especially if they do not have a boyfriend during Valentine’s. This day is all about girl power and love! 

This year had a great turn out. Students even got to wear pink or red shirts with their uniforms, so the whole school looked very festive. Seniors wrote their little sisters sweet notes, PJ’s had a strawberry lemonade sale and there was a big poster for everyone to write things they love. Galentine’s is a great way to change the narrative about this holiday and understand that love comes in all forms. Even if we don’t have a guy in our lives, it is important for us to celebrate each other and show love!
