Father Daughter Fun
The father daughter tailgate is an event where the dads get the opportunity to enjoy a night with their daughters filled with fun games and good food! The fourth annual tailgate took place on October 3 with the SPS Marching Wolves drum line opening the event. The parents club is in charge of setting up this event, which takes lots of preparation.
The food at the tailgate was amazing and included mini burgers, catfish, meat pies, cookies and more. There were also fun games like velcro ax throwing, corn hole, spike ball and horseshoes. Attendees took pictures at the photo wall and even got their faces painted.
Sophomore Emilee Duet said, “Me and my dad had so much fun and want to go again next year.” This year, the tailgate’s attendance was higher than any of the other years before. The overall goal of the tailgate is for girls to make lasting memories with their dads. That goal was definitely achieved this year.
