SSA Art Extravaganza

SSA Art Extravaganza

This is the first year SSA had its art show on campus that displays students’ work from semesters 1 and 2. The classes represented in the art show are Studio Art, Art I, Art II, AP Studio Art, Ceramics I, Ceramics II, and Visual Art.

Ms. Kreeger, an Art I teacher said, “It’s a way to broadcast the students’ work for more than just the school to see, also a way for us to build community.” I asked her if she felt people will be more inclined to support women in the arts after attending the art show. “Yes, I feel the community would be more inclined to support because they are able to see all of the talents of our girls and see the growth from eighth-grade studio art to our advanced AP studio art class.” Ms. Kreeger’s favorite part of this experience was seeing students excited about their art displayed and hearing feedback from their peers and teachers. If you missed this year’s show, there is always next year, in the meantime click on the gallery below!
